Easy To Make Tasty Swiss Roll
Swiss roll
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs,
- 1 cup sugar,
- 2 tablespoons warm water,
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract,
- 1 teaspoon baking powder,
- 1 teaspoon vineger,
- 2 cup all-purpose flour,
- salt,
- 1 tablespoon buttermilk,
- 4 tablespoons raspberry or strawberry jam,
- 2 tablespoons whipped cream..
Preheat oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F). Grease a pan then cover with butter paper. Lay a tea towel on a flat work surface and sprinkle well with powdered sugar and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a another mixing bowl, beat eggs on high for 5 minutes. Continue beating as you slowly add in the sugar.
Add the oil, buttermilk, vinegar and vanilla. Beat for 1 more minute. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Pour batter into pan and tilt to even out the batter. Bake for 15 minutes.
When done, immediately invert the cake onto the towel. Remove the butter paper and then roll the cake in the towel. Set to cool completely. Beat cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Mix in cool whip until creamy. Refrigerate until cake has cooled completely.
Then unroll the cake, spread the jam over the cake. Repeat with the filling evenly over the jam. Then roll up the cake, Swiss roll is ready to serve, sprinkle with sugar and enjoy it...
