Restaurant Style Homemade Tasty Panzanella Salad
Panzanella salad
Ingredients:
- 1 French bread,
- 2 tablespoon oil,
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt,
- 2 large tomatoes,
- 1 cucumber,
- 1 red bell pepper,
- 1 yellow bell pepper,
- 1/2 red onion,
- 3- 4 basil leaves,
- 1 tablespoons capers,
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic,
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard,
- 1 tablespoon vinegar,
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper..
To prepared a panzanella salad, Slice the bread into 1-inch cubes. Heat the oil in a pan.
Add the bread and salt, cook over low to medium heat, tossing frequently, for until nicely browned. For the vinaigrette, Combine the oil, vinegar, garlic, mustard, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl and whisk to combine.
Chop the tomatoes, cucumber, red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper into small pieces. Slice the onion into thin slices.
In a bowl, mix the bread, chopped vegetables, capers. Pour the vinaigrette over top and use a spatula to combine.
Season with salt and pepper. Let the salad sit at least half an hour before serving. Just before serving, stir in the basil. The panzanella salad is ready to eat...
